About CHAS Accreditation
CHAS Accreditation

The service costs £60 plus vat and is ONLY available for contractors or consultants who have been assessed as CHAS Compliant within the last 12 months and pay the additional annual accreditation fee detailed below.

Please Note: The Accreditation Certificate is valid for 12 months from the date you were last assessed as compliant

There is now a single level of accreditation (the lesser level has been withdrawn). Accreditation provides:
  • License for the use of CHAS logos on your stationery and livery.
  • A Certificate of Accreditation.
  • Full verification of CHAS registration and history to third parties (non-CHAS scheme members)
  • Exemption from completing the Constructionline H&S Questionnaire and other schemes (EXOR and SAFEcontractor) (in part) if you are required to register with them.
  • The facility for you to access information held about your company in the CHAS database; for example, your CHAS status and registration details, any comments about your company and your assessment history.
  • Direct access to the CHAS Accredited logo's (JPEG files) for use on your stationery, livery or website.
  • Access a full record of all "hits" on your company, who made them and when. (In other words, which CHAS member organizations have viewed your details).
  • Accredited contractors and consultants who achieve annual compliance through our scheme may be offered reduced liability (and other) insurance quotes through Trade Direct (between ten and fifteen per-cent) as long as they maintain accreditation. We will write to accredited companies to advise them of this offer shortly after accreditation. This applies to both levels of accreditation.
